Kieran Cooney is a composed, left-footed defender whose primary position is left centre-back, while also being capable of playing at left-back or left wing-back. A ball-playing defender, he is comfortable building attacks from the back with a strong passing range and excellent composure in possession. Defensively, Kieran reads the game exceptionally well, is dominant in the air, strong in 1v1 situations, and consistently demonstrates excellent positioning and decision-making. Still young, he has the attributes, versatility, and potential to continue progressing at a high level.
